Train Station Nijmegen | study completed

Train station Nijmegen | commissioned by the City of Nijmegen, Keizer Koopmans, in collaboration with SITE (process) and Bureau B+B (landscape), has completed a spatial study on the new front of Nijmegen Station’s City Center side. The goal was to explore ways to optimize the station and square to transform them into a significant urban anchor point.

Together with experts from the City of Nijmegen, NS, and ProRail, different topics were presented, evaluated, and discussed in a cohesive approach. The result is a narrative that connects the square with the historic 19th-century urban expansion, optimizations to traffic structures such as bus routes and bicycle parking, and the creation of a pleasant environment through the redesign of public spaces and robust green structures.
