We are interested in the mix of architecture and urbanism. We believe in the ability to translate the essence of a project into a spatial design with apparent radical simplicity. With our team we work on a wide range of projects, from public buildings and places to housing and complex urban challenges.

The office is founded by Wouter Keizer and Ule Koopmans at the beginning of 2020. Before establishing the practice Keizer Koopmans, Wouter and Ule worked at renowned offices in The Netherlands and Germany. They worked on award-winning buildings and international competitions, on Dutch urbanism and German building technology. In these years they gained meaningful experience in all phases of the architecture process.

Wouter Keizer (1988) graduated together with Ule at the Technical University Delft in 2012. After his graduation he worked on the National Military Museum and several international architecture competitions at Claus & Kaan Architects.

Hereafter he has worked as a projectarchitect at Grüntuch Ernst Architekten on a large transformation project in the heart of Berlin. He was responsible for the design and realisation of a big apartment building in ‘Areal am Tacheles’, where he worked in a masterplan together with Brandlhuber+ and Herzog & de Meuron. Wouter also organizes yearly architecture excursions to a.o. Hamburg, Copenhagen and Basel.
