Zuidas competition: a sculpural tower with social housing

We recently had the opportunity to participate in an exciting architectural competition for social housing corporation Eigen Haard. We were asked by Moke Architecten to collaborate on a pitch for two buildings in Amsterdam’s Zuidas district. The project comprises a total of 275 social housing units, with additional functions in the plinth.

The challenge for us was to design a residential tower that combines a sculptural appearance with quality housing and rationality in terms of construction costs. A tower that stimulates social encounters and where daylight can reach the very core. It was a great process, and we’re proud of the result! Unfortunately, we weren’t selected.
